To improve community safety at Eastwood,
funding has been provided for CCTV cameras and improved lighting.
John Alexander recently brought the Minister for Justice, the Hon Michael Keenan MP, to Eastwood to show the steps being taken to help protect the community.
After a 58-year-old man was savagely attacked by two men in Eastwood, John Alexander worked hard for federal funds to improve the local safety measures. Following extensive advocacy by John, a $200,000 government grant was provided for the installation of CCTV cameras and better lighting.
“The best way to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour is to prevent it occurring in the first place, and the Government’s Safer Streets Communities Grants program has made Eastwood safer.”
