John Alexander has a strong record of delivering for Bennelong.

New Transport Interchange  for Macquarie Park

Great news for local commuters! The Liberal team has committed to jointly fund a major new public transport interchange at the Macquarie Park precinct.

This will improve traffic flow, reduce congestion and ensure easier transitions between buses, trains and taxis.

Macquarie Park is a major hub with more than 20,000 people travelling to and from the area each day.

The new transport interchange will significantly improve public transport and help local commuters spend less time in traffic and more time at home with their family.

Sport and Exercise

As a former champion tennis player, John is passionate about the importance of sport and exercise. He recently delivered $50,000 in funding toward the multipurpose community courts in North Epping to provide local netball, soccer and tennis players with modern facilities.

In 2015, John Alexander completed a walk of over 200kms throughout Bennelong, to raise awareness (and over $10,000) to help fight Motor Neurone Disease. Recently, he walked across the electorate again – from East Ryde, to Roselea, from Ermington to North Epping – to help sufferers of leukemia.

John wanted to support these good causes.  He also genuinely likes to get around the community and listen. John draws inspiration from everyday people in this community – their work ethic, their community spirit and their generosity. With your support, John Alexander will keep listening, working hard and getting results for Bennelong.

Bennelong Cup Schools’ Table Tennis program

John was instrumental in establishing the annual Bennelong Cup Schools’ Table Tennis program to bridge the cultural divides of a multi-cultural electorate which led to a partnership with Table Tennis Australia providing new table tennis tables to all schools within the electorate.

Youth Safe

Bennelong is home to Youth Safe – which supports young people to lead happy and fulfilled lives, free from injuries from work, sport or social activities. John secured $9,000 to help Youth Safe continue their important educational work from their Ryde location.

A Safer Bennelong

John is concerned about keeping the local community safe, which is why he campaigned hard for better lighting and CCTV for Eastwood Town Centre. He secured $80,000 in funding for seven cameras and safety upgrades to improve local safety.
